NSBE Jr Chapter
What is NSBE Jr?
As a part of the NSBE at UVa chapter, we have the Pre-College Initiative (PCI) program which is designed to stimulate the interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields, or STEM among students of the Charlottesville area. The goal is to encourage students in grades K–12 to attend college and pursue technical degrees.

The NSBE Jr chapter in Charlottesville, VA started in 2009 and is spearheaded by Pearl Early of Albemarle High School and the Pre-College Initivaite (PCI) Chair of NSBE at UVa. Our chapter focuses on project-based learning and tutoring throughout the school year, as well as the NSBE Jr Summer Academy through the summer. Although having a strong focus on middle and high-school learning, our NSBE Jr chapter is open to students K-12.
How To Get Involved
If you want to get involved in the NSBE Jr Chapter in the Charlottesville area there are many ways to do so! We are always looking for students from UVA to help with our weekly meetings and tutoring.
